What do to with your deer hide?

STEP 1 — Get it to us quickly

Ideally within 24–48 hours.

STEP 2 — Keep it cold

Refrigerate, freeze, or salt it if you can't bring it in right away.

STEP 3 — Bring it to our South Side drop-off

Monday–Friday
8:00 AM–4:30 PM

STEP 4 — We'll inspect and grade it

Deer Hide Grade
almost every hides is worth value!

#1 Deer Hide
8.0 square feet or larger with no drag marks, slipping hair,
or more than 2 holes 1 inches in size. 

Out Deer Hide
Less than 8.0 square feet or a large hide with any of the following:

  • Excessive holes or knife marks

  • Slipping hair (hair falling out due to spoilage)

  • Drag marks (missing hair due to being dragged)

  • Caped deer (hide trimmed small for taxidermy mounts)
